The Live Online Mindful Self-Compassion (LOMSC) course offered by the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion is a 10-week program designed to help participants cultivate self-compassion in the face of life’s challenges. Based on the work of Kristin Neff, PhD, and Christopher Germer, PhD, the course teaches participants how to respond kindly to themselves rather than with harsh self-criticism, which research shows is more effective for achieving well-being. The curriculum includes live weekly sessions, pre- and post-course materials, an online discussion board, and optional small group meetings. The program aims to enhance emotional resources, improve handling of difficult situations, and integrate mindfulness and self-compassion practices into daily life.
